| Hands On' 08: Le Cirque D'Art
Visitors to the exhibit will have the opportunity to become a member of the circus and learn classic circus tricks such as juggling and much more! Children of all ages are welcome to visit and admission to the exhibit is free. Large groups are welcome but please call ahead for groups of ten or more.
Campers and visitors to the summer exhibit can become a lion tamer, acrobat or even take a ride on the circus train. You can learn to juggle, draw circus style posters, make masks and sculpt your own circus inspired characters. We invite you to come play all day at City Arts Center’s free hands on exhibit this summer!

| Under the Influence 2
Under the Influence 2 is a multi-sensory exhibit celebrating the synergy created between music and visual art. Invited visual artists and musicians from varied backgrounds and artistic styles created new works of art influenced by a particular musical selection or song of their choice. Patrons will have the unique opportunity to view the art work while listening to music highlighted in this exhibit.
Visual artists included in the exhibit are: Clinton Dean, Anji Bryner, Sharla Wiser, Cathy Deuschle, Romy Owens, Diane Salamon, Dylan and Amanda Bradway, Molly O’Connor, Stephanie Ruggles Winter, Alyson Atchinson, Josh Buss, Chad Mount, Shannon Crider, Dakota Wolf, Amanda Dyer, Laura Sullivan, Annalisa Campbell, Kyle Golding, Sarah Leis, Raechel Brown, Jordan Snyder, Geoff Krawczyk, Josh Heilaman and Patrick Corey.
Musicians included in the exhibit are: Kunek, Simplton, Sugar Free Allstars, Leon Russell, Crocodile, Justin Witte, Garistotle, Sunshine Hahn, Ali Harter, the fingerpuppets, The Voice Of, Chase Spivey, Dan McPherson, Aaron Leforce, Student Film, Derek Doublin, Buffalofitz, Star Crash Speedway, Cecada, El Paso Hot Button, Jesse Cohen, Radio Deception, Esthing and Johnathan Youngblood.
Opening Reception: April 25th from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Admission is free.
The opening artist reception will feature live performances from several of the participating artists and musicians including: Justin Witte, Johnathan Youngblood, Aaron Leforce, Dakota Wolf, Garistotle and Dylan and Amanda Bradway.

| Narrative Art
City Arts Center is pleased to present four extraordinary artists in Narrative: Featuring Carlos Tello, Sue Clancy, Dana Azar and Brent Greenwood, March 6th-April 12, 2008. An opening artist reception will take place at City Arts Center on Thursday, March 6th from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Narrative will feature four artists who tell stories through their artwork but whose approaches and points of view vary immensely. The exhibition not only focuses on the role of the artists as a storyteller and creator of worlds, but also on the difference that exists between the artist’s work and the viewer’s imagination.

| An Installation by Samantha Lamb
City Arts Center is pleased to present the remarkable up and coming local photographer, Samantha Lamb, in “The Sea, The Surge and the Seamstress”, March 6th-April 12, 2008. An opening artist reception will take place at City Arts Center on Thursday, March 6th from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The intricate installation will be based off of the infamous analogue, “a stitch in time”. Lamb presents, A Story about Salt and Morning Light by producing a mesmerizing sight by hanging more than 2,000 spools of different lengths and lights from the gallery ceiling, while displaying more than 40 of her framed photographs on the surrounding walls.

| Cafe City Arts 2008: Circus Maximus
Café City Arts is an annual celebration and art sale that features national, regional and emerging artists. For the past 15 years, proceeds from the fundraiser have enabled year-round visual arts exhibits free of charge to the public. Artists participating in the exhibit donate 50% of their art sales income to City Arts Center.
The exhibit features 32 artists that embody the pride in technique and dynamic sensibilities that is seen in the current Oklahoma art scene. Artwork featured includes jewelry, blown glass, pottery, photography and much more ranging in prices from $35-$8,000.

| Illumination: The Art of Lighting and Furniture
Featuring art as design and design in art for the fabrication of those things that surround us in our home and business environments on a daily basis. Featured pieces in the exhibit will include lighting appliances, sofas, chairs and end tables. All of the pieces will be available for purchase and will range from $125-$3,500.
Featured artists included in the exhibit are: Abi Chodosh, Dennis Johnson, Grant Lacquement, Hugh Meade, Jeff Gullett, Joe Slack, the JYD team, Kenny McCage, Klint Schor, Kyle Golding, Marcus Eakers, Roy D. Orr, Scott Henderson, Steven C. Schmidt and Tomoaki Orikasa.

| Koble Roper featured in the Circle Gallery
Edmond artist, Kolbe Roper, creates installations which reflect the emotions generated from social interactions. Competent in many media, Roper balances metaphor with juxtaposition to produce work that dissects the essential elements of persona.

| Midnight Streak Photography Exhibit
Three photographers, Romy Owens, Daisy Patton, Carolyn Rossow, captured the highlights of the third annual Midnight Streak. | Corazon Watkins and J Lynn Kelly
Corazon Watkins an oil and mixed media artist from Norman, Oklahoma uses her vision to explore the realms of social realities. J Lynn Kelly an oil painter from Ft. Worth, Texas, reflects the human urge to seek enlightenment, shamanic ritual, mythology, theology and superstition.
